Williamsburg Patio 2
Deep reds, dark purples, silvery blues and black containers create the dramatic ambience of this patio. The client wanted a structured, modern design with this rich palette in mind. Pennisetum Rubrum grasses, underplanted with Tradescantia Pallida (purple heart) create a soft, lush backdrop with graceful movement against the far wall. A pair of Cedrus Atlantica Glauca Pendulas (weeping blue atlas cedars) provide year-long sculptural interest. Bright red sedums create a colorful counterpoint as an underplanting. A pair of acer dissectum japanese maples flank the entrance, planted in curved black nomi containers.
