West Town Garden
The owner of this garden level condo first approached Sprout Home to help resolve some issues that had risen due to being so close to the water table. This is a common issue in Chicago and is something Sprout Home will gladly address. In this case an existing Japanese Maple Acer Palmatum ‘Tamukeyama’ acted as inspiration for the space. The garden was planted keeping in mind that the majority of the living space has a direct view of the garden. The paving needed to be reset to allow for proper drainage away from the planting beds. Then the concept of a Japanese rock garden acted as inspiration for containerized evergreens . This allowed us to plant with out worrying about root systems being flooded.
