Brooklyn is yet again lifted with love… not only in the air but inflated in metallic letter balloons that literally demonstrate the feelings shared between happily newly weds Michelle and Jonathan. Another success for our Brooklyn Sprout floral designers, whom of which brought fresh, fun, and beautiful floral arrangements for Michelle and Jonathan’s wedding day. Here are a few more sneak peaks from their wedding. It doesn’t go unnoticed when an entire semi-truck full of brilliantly green, tall, and soothing bamboo plants get carefully guided to the backyard of our Brooklyn garden shop. Bamboo has been one of our most magnetic sellers, but there is a lot to learn about this exotic perennial evergreen.

May 15th, we will be offering a class that will discuss the care and use of bamboo as screening and specimen plants in containers and yards. We’ll focus on two families of bamboo: running (Phyllostachys) and clumping (Fargesia). To gain a deeper understanding of bamboo and how to incorporate it in your daily surroundings, sign up here.

Friends from Moomah Magazine have spent some time with our lovely floral designer, Doan Ly, to get some insight on how to create a one of a kind bouquet. We at Sprout love nothing more than creating beautiful floral arrangements for our friends of New York City and also encourage interested folks in crafting up an arrangement of your own. The process is fun, therapeutic, and not only is a constructive time based art but has a positive/ beautiful outcome you get to enjoy for some time to come.
